Why Geohumanities needs its own page, not a redirection

[edit]

The term "Geohumanities" previously redirected to the generic page of the Association of American Geographers (AAG) who publish a journal called Geohumanities. The Geohumanities is a valid and recognised academic field, so it is inappropriate for the term to direct to the national geographical association of one country (that is inappropriate US exceptionalism). The academic field warrants a proper description which is what the article offers - although like many others, I am sure it can be improved but that is what Wikipedia is for. I found that the article had been deleted and reverted to forward to the AAG. I do not understand why this was done and I have reverted it back. If there is a dispute on this, we need to invite a suitably qualified individual to arbitrate. The fact that the AAG publishes a journal for the disicpline using the name does however tell you a lot.
