Additional Information

Could someone add information about the digital short messaging and location services that are now permitted on GMRS handhelds? Recent GMRS Linked repeater shut downs

Recently the FCC updated their wordings regarding linked repeaters. Two of the biggest systems in the US in New York and Texas have now shut their linked systems down due to the FCC update. Fees

This Wikipedia article says: "The fee was reduced to $35 for all applicants on April 19, 2022.", and there's a link to a PDF. I stepped through all 163 occurrences of "$" in that document, and not a single one is for a $35 fee. GMRS Bandwidth in Frequency table

Shouldn't the GMRS bandwidth in the Frequency table be 20 kHz where it shows 25 kHz? The Channel separation is 25 kHz, but the FCC specified bandwidth is 20 kHz. DJenner8 (talk) 05:42, 14 August 2025 (UTC)
