COULD WE change the bihu dancer with gamosa image to gamosa.jpg and add the Bihu...Gamosa in the latter sections?

Why not same as "gamucha"?

These two articles are "not to be confused with" each other, but why? It appears to be essentially the same word, and both articles say it is used as a towel, as a loincloth, etc. Equinox ◑ 01:08, 22 April 2018 (UTC)

The articles could probably be safely merged as much of the content has already been redundantly copy pasted across. A case could be made that the Assamese variation is independently notable as it has a geographical indication and distinct cultural significance, at least according to information in these articles (though some of it is poorly sourced or unsourced). – Scyrme (talk/solidarity) 12:33, 16 August 2026 (UTC)

Relevance in cultural significance

I revised the tone and clarity for the first paragraphs in cultural significance.
