Please give some hints about what fails the notability criterion. The GENtle (original home page) reference is given in the Vector NTI description. I fail to see why GENtle would be less worthy of being mentioned on wikipedia than its proprietary counter part. I have no personal affiliation with GENtle (except asking some things on the sourceforge forum for GENtle and trying to compile it). It is a slowed-down project but still quite useable and important for molecular biologists to know about (it took quite a while for me to find it).
