context

[edit]

I like the sophistication here, but this article needs some serious elaboration/explanation, and also some additional simpler material.

  • 1. The classical section could be expanded. Am I wrong? - I think that there are simple examples of free fields such as EM or other travelling wave solutions?
  • 2. Smeared fields?
  • 3. Unitary irrep?
  • 4. Elaborating on what and represent. (Edited --HappyDog271, 15:39, 6 June 2016 (GMT))
  • 5. etcetera...

Are unbound particles free-field quantum solutions? The article could easily be twice as long if appropriate context/explanation were added.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by RichG (talkcontribs) .

Actually, feel free to expand as you see fit. I think this article has a lot of potential too. It's sort of nicely tucked away at the moment; I only found it through normal ordering. --HappyCamper 16:02, 4 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
