The term Free entropy also has a distinct technical meaning in some areas of math, but I do not know the actual definition. Nonsuch 02:46, 14 February 2006 (UTC)
question about formula for entropy
[edit]I don't believe the formula for entropy at the start of the table. It says entropy is a simple function of energy, temperature, volume, pressure and other conjugate pairs of variables. I believe dS = dU/T + ... but not S = U/T + ..., so I think this formula should be corrected or eliminated. Is entropy even an example of the concepts being listed in this table?
