Edit request: President of the High Court dates

[edit]

I am a paid editor for Vizlegal (disclosed on my user page), so I'm requesting this rather than making it.

The infobox gives his term as President of the High Court as 1 July 1998 – 24 April 2001, and the same end date for his time as a High Court judge. Two Dáil written answers give different dates:

  • 15 November 2000, listing appointments to the offices of Chief Justice and the court presidents: "Frederick Morris (President of the High Court) 14.01.1998".[1]
  • 4 March 2008, listing judges who retired since 1995 and their retirement dates: "Frederick Morris 01/12/2001".[2]

The retirement date is his 72nd birthday (born 1 December 1929, per the article), the statutory retirement age, and the January 1998 start follows his nomination reported in December 1997, which the article already cites.

Please change:

  • term_start = 1 July 1998 → term_start = 14 January 1998
  • term_end = 24 April 2001 → term_end = 1 December 2001
  • term_end1 = 24 April 2001 → term_end1 = 1 December 2001

with the two sources above. Thanks, Jcsrbvl (talk) 15:06, 28 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
