Youth Coach

[edit]

Is or isn't he currently a youth coach at Milan? Both statement are made in the article.

Dubious Information

[edit]

Caps and goal figures in the article likely contain European cup/Domestic cup data in addition to Domestic League data (this is very certain based on this user's previous edits containing similar information . Please correct this issue and leave a note here, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Alfmaster#Footballers.27_European_goals, to warn this person about putting improper information on Wikipedia. --Palffy 21:17, 25 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

I'm an italian AC Milan fan. I can assure that Baresi's league appearances are 531 (with 16 goals scored). It's reported so in an official CD-Rom that contains all-time statistic about the team and its players, released in italy last year. Luxic 17:42, 29 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Baresi is alive

[edit]

AC Milan's official X account have just released this statement. Spiderone(Talk to Spider) 19:55, 29 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hes dead, confirmed by AC Milan on their Twitter page. “a Storia del Milan è in lacrime per la scomparsa di Franco Baresi. Il suo esempio e la sua profondità saranno, per sempre come la sua maglia numero 6, parte integrante e fondamentale del DNA e del cammino di tutto il Club. Le condoglianze che AC Milan porge alla famiglia tutta di Franco Baresi sono le stesse che ogni tifoso rossonero fa a sé stesso in un'ora così dura.
The entire history of AC Milan is in tears following the passing of Franco Baresi. His example and integrity will be forever etched into the Club's DNA, just as his iconic number 6 shirt is. The condolences AC Milan extends to Franco Baresi's family at such a difficult time are shared by every Rossonero, who feels this loss as their own.” Cas2408 (talk) 05:54, 31 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

Rest in Peace, Franco Baresi.

Death location

[edit]

Different people have their different ways of writing a place, and it is causing inaccuracy.

Milan is a city. The Metropolitan City of Milan is 133 locations, over 608 square miles.

"Rozzano, Milan" is an inaccuracy, as much as "Wigan, Manchester". The pipe "Rozzano, Milan" fails WP:EGG as the link is not to Milan, and also MOS:GEOLINK as two locations are linked next to each other. Personal preferences for writing locations should not override factual accuracy. Unknown Temptation (talk) 09:55, 31 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

It is common practice in written English and thus on enwiki to imply terms like "province", "county", "district", "governorate" etc. in the "X (place name), Y (higher-level subdivision)" format. It has nothing to do with referring to a city or a broader polity. Sometimes even the opposite happens, such as New York City to distinguish it from New York (state). ~ IvanScrooge98 (talk) 10:32, 31 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
