When was replica built?

[edit]

The cited source does say '1986', but I'm pretty sure this is an error. I personally visited the fort in 1978 or 1979. The infobox says '1973', which is more probable - this was the centennial of the NWMP. I'll see if I can find another reliable source to confirm. Indefatigable (talk) 14:18, 15 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hi, that's entirely possible, i'm not from the community. Thanks for bringing this up, If you can find a source that would be awesome, ill do some digging myself. WoodBison1905 (talk) 22:27, 17 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
Good catch, looks like you are right.
https://www.reddeeradvocate.com/news/fort-normandeau-celebrates-125-years/ says rebuilt in 1974, bought by the city in 1983, officially opened in 1986. If anyone has a subscription to Newspapers.com (the only archive of the Red Deer Advocate I can find) they could find out for sure, but im pretty confident you are correct.
