I was unable to find any confirmation that ignition of the lungs occurs after a sustained flash fire. Can a source to this information be provided?--Fiber B 19:04, 18 October 2006 (UTC)
AFAIK, thats a quote from the movie "Poseidon (2006)". Honestly, I think it might be possible for someone to inhale flame and burn or even "ignite" their lung tissue. That sentence, however, implies that you will die in a flash-fire after five seconds because your lungs bursts into flame. And that is nonsense. Close your mouth: problem solved. Well, at least that particular problem.
Yes, normal clothing might protect you from the flashfire for a short period of time. But when your normal clothing starts burning and the flash fire is sustained, you are done for.
