Fisherman's pie, ocean pie, etc.

[edit]

There are a number of names for dishes of fish with a mashed potato topping:

We ought to be able to find some information on these names (and any others I may have missed) and how the definitions differ, and write something about it here. Searches for "difference between fisherman's pie and ocean pie" and similar phrases don't seem to give any definitive answers at least in the first page of results. Can anybody help? — Smjg (talk) 13:31, 19 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

The three pics in the gallery are nothing to do with British fish pie. One shows a completely different Cornish dish, one is a bizarrely unrelated Russian pie that happens to contain fish, and one shows some strange creation (possibly American) using sweet potato.
