Magnus Eriksson

[edit]

Much of this article seems to have been copied from Magnus Eriksson. Some parts are only tangentially related to the union and should be removed. Jähmefyysikko (talk) 03:56, 5 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Infobox

[edit]

I suggest removing the infobox, as it contains dubious information and fails WP:INFOBOXPURPOSE, which is to summarize, not supplant, the article.

  • The name on the top, United Kingdoms of Sweden and Norway, is a made-up name.
  • There is no "flag" corresponding to this entity. The coat of arms of Haakon is just his personal arms. Magnus Eriksson would have had different arms (probably including Skåne/the three crowns?), yet the personal union already existed during his rule.
  • The "preceded/succeeded by" fields give an incorrect impression. The personal union was not preceded or succeeded by the kingdoms of Sweden and Norway, but rather they co-existed. There was no joint governing body over the two realms.
  • The "common languages" field is filled with irrelevant clutter not discussed in the article, and only tangentially relevant to the topic of the article.
