Why is American English not listed as using Latin Final form?

[edit]

I couldn't help but notice during the early Colonial Days of white European settlement of the North American continent, every word now written as ending "ess", appears to have used Latin Final form characters. I've often wondered why and never understood any explanation, however none of the explanations I remember mentioned Latin Final form. What gives?Dirtclustit (talk) 15:30, 20 October 2013 (UTC)Reply
