I'm curious. Why, here, is the name Filofax rendered with a capitalised FAX as the last syllable? Is there some reason not obvious to me? Here's the 'heritage' page from the Filofax site itself, which doesn't refer to itself in such a way: Ian Tindale 15:13, 4 May 2005 (UTC)

History & sizes

I'd like to see the background here in details. I've heard it from radio or something, but I can't find it from the net with details. I miss the following information which might be of use for others too

• what's what was the size of the very original filofax binder?

Known sizes

Contradiction

"The company name was coined for the name of the product when it was founded in 1921." "The company was known as Norman & Hill until the mid 1980's". Perhaps the first one should be "the name of the product was coined when the company was founded in 1921." ...actually I think I've figured out what it's trying to say and I'm going to edit it. 81.131.49.68 (talk) 12:28, 27 June 2009 (UTC)

Other Sizes

Most Filofax clones have 6 rings, though there is a 7 ring clone and a small 5 ring sort.

The spacing of the holes of Firenze 6 ring clone is: 19/19/19/19/19 mm. (19mm = 3/4 inch)
