Fern Rivard was not the first player to wear #35

[edit]

Fern Rivard was not the first player to wear #35. That was Tony Esposito in 1969. It's all in the NHL records. Every game and the number worn by the players is accessible on the NHL records site.

It was erroneously reported that he wore it in 1968-69. It continues to be erroneously reported here despite my efforts to correct the record before.

Part of what is wrong with Wikipedia is this nonsense. Some clown undid my previous correction on this. 216.174.89.13 (talk) 20:34, 4 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

That's right. Rivard did not wear #35 until December 8th,1973 in a game against Detroit at Minnesot. Bao Pu (talk) 02:22, 6 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
