False accusations of white women against white men in the modern day West.

[edit]

I want to add a paragraph or a section including the concerning amount of false rape accusations of white women against white men in modern day West, with recurring motives that include misandry, media attention, psychological issues and jealousy, but seems the way I wanted to write it wasn't acceptable, can someone write it in my place the proper way, since I don't want to risk to invalidate my purpose with a potential edit war, please? 151.36.46.173 (talk) 08:21, 17 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Your edit was reverted for being a violation of WP:SYNTH. Tdmurlock (talk) 08:26, 17 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
That's why I started this topic in the talk page. And I wouldn't have considered it an original research, since I looked for specific sources. 151.36.46.173 (talk) 08:30, 17 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
wikipedia edits are supposed to be neutral, verifiable, and not original research. Your sources may have been fine, but your usage of them seemed to be completely random. Tdmurlock (talk) 08:42, 17 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
What I'm seeing is long-term abuse from Italy. Block evasion by Special:Contributions/151.36.247.29. Disruption from the range Special:Contributions/151.36.0.0/16, or perhaps a subset of that. Binksternet (talk) 08:28, 17 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
What do you mean by long-term abuse? 151.36.46.173 (talk) 08:31, 17 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
I mean 3+ years of disruption with sockpuppets and many IPs after getting blocked as User:Honest Yusuf Cricket. I mean a bunch of IPs from the Greater Milan area, and some proxy IPs from elsewhere. I mean disruption so broad that you got globally locked. Binksternet (talk) 15:39, 17 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
Does this also mean that the category "stereotypes about white women" should be removed from the article? Perhaps I was inattentive, but I didn't find any indication in the article that false rape accusations are stereotypes about white women. In fact, the article even focuses more on cases in Korea. Why was this case removed? It is a perfect example. 70.176.18.245 (talk) 05:56, 3 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

South Korea

[edit]

The section about South Korea seems to be excessively long and detailed, and possibly POV. The fact that it relies exclusively on Korean-langauage sources also makes it difficult to double-check. I would suggest eliminating it, or at least paring it down significantly. Tad Lincoln (talk) 23:27, 20 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

i agree; it seems incredibly overly opinionated. i was kind of shocked by its quality relative to the remainder of the article. definitely not up to standard. i’m not even a regular editor, i just think a page for a topic this volatile needs far more care to account for highly subjective and editorialized summarization like the sk section. ~2025-36255-06 (talk) 00:30, 26 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

Stacey Sharples (UK) sentenced to 4 years in prison for falsely accusing 10 men of rape

[edit]

https://www.gmp.police.uk/news/greater-manchester/news/news/2026/march/woman-who-falsely-accused-ten-men-of-raping-her-is-jailed/ 11-March-2026 "A woman has been sentenced to four-and-a-half years in prison today (Wednesday 11 March 2026) after pleading guilty to making false rape allegations about several men from across Greater Manchester. Stacey Sharples, 31, from Farnworth in Bolton, pleaded guilty of ten counts of perverting the course of justice in relation to reports against ten separate men on Monday 2 February 2026 at Bolton Crown Court." ~2026-15812-26 (talk) 05:40, 13 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

@~2026-15812-26 I reverted your edits for WP:UNDUE. This article is not the place for your extremely specific and external-link heavy addition. Likeanechointheforest (talk) 22:21, 26 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
Added the links following Wikipedia Reliable Sources showing the seriousness of the UK crime of perverting the course of justice (false accusations) and that serious crime resulting in 4 years in prison for the woman. Wikipedia reliable sources - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Reliable_sources. This follows that a UK national law is widespread enough to not be a "tiny minority" as mentioned in the Wikipedia Reliable Sources page ("Giving due weight and avoiding giving undue weight means articles should not give minority views or aspects as much of or as detailed a description as more widely held views or widely supported aspects.").
The list of women convicted of crimes for false accusation of rape (UK perverting the course of justice) follows the same listing format for the Innocence Project Wikipedia page which does not have a distinct Wikipedia page for each falsely convicted person in that article. Wikipedia Innocence Project - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_miscarriage_of_justice_cases ~2026-29843-13 (talk) 01:16, 18 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
