Not done: it's not clear what changes you want made. Please detail the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. — Paper9oll (🔔 • 📝) 15:27, 1 September 2026 (UTC)Reply

Brands

[edit]

Hi, it would be nice if you added his newest achievements like Simcare and Proya. And also he was last year the brand ambassador for Joocyee. thx Puppies.pillowss (talk) 18:33, 24 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

Edit Request for Introduction

[edit]

Introduction currently says he is planning on making his debut as Evan, but that debut happened today (June 22nd).

Here is a source covering his debut:

Requested move

[edit]

I believe the title of the page should be changed to Evan since the artist has officially debuted and has been promoting under that name for almost three months now as it would make it easier to look him up. Acedsugar (talk) 14:04, 1 September 2026 (UTC)Reply

Requested move 2 September 2026

The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.

The result of the move request was: moved. To Evan (singer). The consensus was clearly against the proposed title due to all caps, but evidence for the common name later showed up. (closed by non-admin page mover) Thanks! —1isall (talk | contribs) 12:03, 9 September 2026 (UTC)Reply

Heeseung → EVAN – The artist has debuted and been promoting under the name EVAN for almost three months now Acedsugar (talk) 08:00, 2 September 2026 (UTC)Reply

  • Oppose all-caps. All-caps is seldom supported on Wikipedia, and Rolling Stone does not use all-caps when referring to this topic. This is also not a WP:PRIMARYTOPIC for "Evan". It also often takes more than three months for a promoted name change to become a WP:COMMONNAME, if the promotion ever succeeds at all. Wikipedia is generally indifferent to promotion and "officialness". No evidence was provided. — BarrelProof (talk) 19:59, 2 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose No evidence provided that "Evan" is the subject's WP:COMMONNAME. As it stands right now, almost every article referring to him as "Evan" has at least a blurb within it about the subject also being known as Heeseung from Enhypen, which suggests that the subject is much better known as Heeseung rather than Evan. RachelTensions (talk) 03:29, 3 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
Suggest moving to "Evan (singer)" (but oppose all caps due to MOS:CAPS). This is clearly an official name change (emphasis all mine):
  • Solo artist EVAN, formerly known as Heeseung of the boy group ENHYPEN - The Korea Times
  • Evan, formerly of Enhypen - The Korea Herald
  • Singer Evan, a former member of boy band Enhypen - Korea JoongAng Daily
  • When Evan, formerly known as Heeseung - Los Angeles Times
  • Teen Vogue just introduces him as Evan in their title here, and in the article presents "Heeseung" as his Enhypen persona and "Lee Heeseung" as simply his legal name.
The moment that I-dle confirmed that they were dropping the G in their name, the page was moved to the name "I-dle" even though every article written about them at that point called them (G)I-dle. (Even now, some media articles still include the G.) The articles above prove that this is a professional name change for Evan. The media, from this point on, is treating the professional name Heeseung as a thing of a past.
Also, yes he's not the primary topic for Evan, but the thing can be said about Lily (singer, born 2002) or really most K-pop idols who go by a very common Anglophone name as their mononym. Handsome Ellis (talk) 23:18, 4 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
