Added Wikilinks!
[edit]I added wikilinks wherever I thought it was necessary and think I have covered everything. Since I'm quite new to Wikipedia editiing, it would be awesome if someone could review and remove the tag at the top of the page if everything is alright! ~ Fudgalicious (talk) 13:24, 26 May 2025 (UTC)

I am an author of the source below and therefore have a conflict of interest. I am requesting review of this proposed addition rather than editing the article directly.
In the "Biocontrol potential" section, I suggest adding the following after the existing discussion of experimental biocontrol with Esteya:
- A 2026 greenhouse study in Pinus pinaster found that pre-emptive inoculation with E. vermicola or E. floridanum significantly reduced Bursaphelenchus xylophilus reproduction relative to the inoculated control. However, these reductions were not consistently accompanied by improvements in symptom severity, disease progression, or survival.

The proposed wording is deliberately limited to findings reported in the publicly accessible abstract, because the full article is available under a subscription model.
