Arctic penguin?!

[edit]

The first several Google hits for escutcheon+penguin are mirrors of this page. Penguin lists the living (and recently extinct) species, and it's not there. I've removed the penguin entry as a suspected hoax. —Tamfang (talk) 03:48, 21 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

'Door furniture'

[edit]

This page previously used the term 'door furniture' in describing the second usage of the term. The linked page clarifies that there are two different terms for this in British/Australian and American English, and there is no clear consensus on which is the more universal term in the door furniture talk page. (Personally, I am American and find the term 'door furniture' confusing and unfamiliar; in my experience 'furniture' consistently refers only to large freestanding items in the U.S.) To hopefully aid in clarity and avoid getting too wordy for a disambiguation page, I removed the term and replaced it with a neutral description.
