Apparent magnitude

Sir John Herschel's Debilissima
[edit]What are these? See page 167 in T.W.Webb's Celestial Objects for Common Telescopes, Volume 2: The Stars. That page shows a description by Webb of the Epsilon Lyrae system, and also of several stars in this system called Debilissima by Sir John Herschel. Perhaps interesting to add something about Herschel's Debilissima in the article? DannyCaes (talk) 16:58, 7 April 2022 (UTC)
Conflicting information
[edit]The article says the distance is about 162 light years, the infobox says it is about 154 light years. Which is correct? Minnastronomer (talk) 04:23, 22 July 2025 (UTC)
- The infobox shows distances of 162±6 and 156±4 light-years, based on parallax measurements for different component stars in the system (ε1 & ε2 Lyrae). Those values are consistent within their margins of error. Maybe it would be best to round it to "about 160" light-years in the text. SevenSpheres (talk) 21:57, 8 August 2025 (UTC)
