I deleted Slav and Slavic culture, while it seems he had an impact on Russian and Ukrainian history, these are only two nations from vast Slavic language group.--Molobo 14:55, 1 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

  • I don't see a problem with changing the "one of the most educated Slavs..." to "one of the most educated Russian writers of Ukrainian descent" or "one of the most educated Ukrainian (or Kievan, if you will) writers of his time, who worked in Russia (or Moscow) all his life" (something like that, just an example of possible wording).
