[edit]

This page was created as a redirect six years ago, and hasn't been changed since.

While this field has a link to applied maths, applicable maths and 'mathematical methods' it is arguably a subject on its own - on a parallel to say, engineering physics. For that reason alone I think this deserves its own talk page.

For mean time though, I agree with the page creator that it should stay as is. Ema--or (talk) 02:16, 25 October 2012 (UTC) Propping new cate. of above, to include engineering optimization and engineering statistics. Ema--or (talk) 16:42, 20 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

Article creation

[edit]

I have decided to be bold, take the bull by the horns and rescue this article from redirect limbo, since nobody else has in 6 1/2 years. Hope it works! Ema--or (talk) 01:54, 1 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Digression

[edit]

Like the interfacing of engineering with natural sciences, i.e. engineering physics and engineering geology (what about engineering architecture?), there seems to be a parallel social science/arts & humanities theme - engineering economics, engineering management, engineering law, engineering ethics (philosophy of engineering). I wonder where this article belongs in that scheme. Ema--or (talk) 05:15, 3 December 2012 (UTC). PS The industrial engineering and systems engineering articles have an interesting view going along this direction. Ema--or (talk) 23:37, 3 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Obviously with natural sciences. What I was wondering was if a framework can be built/exists from the above that shows how engineering interacts with other disciplines. Ema--or (talk) 05:26, 3 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Expanding this page

[edit]

Hello, I'm new to editing articles but I am not new to engineering. I want to expand this article to provide a structured and methodical view into the mathematics used by engineers. If I began to do this, is that allowed? Am I able to just go for it?

Thankyou :) Original Duke Of Earl (talk) 10:02, 29 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
