Is The Gamine Real?

[edit]

I did a check of the Google Books entry for the book used as a reference for this article, and I can find no entry in it for Gamine, Hull (as the city), or Emily Robin. In the Wikipedia article for Hull there is no mention of the Gamine. A search of Google for the Gamine only yields entries that quote the Wikipedia article - there's no other source that I can find that independently confirms the existence of the bordello. That's not conclusive, but it does raise a question in my mind as to verification. Is anyone able to access a physical copy of "Love For Sale: a world history of prostitution" and provide at least a page number reference for the bordello or Emily Robin?
