Unreferenced dates

[edit]

@Tomforx, stop adding dates to this article you don't have any references for. The references as they are now available have her listed as the year representative for 2015 for the private school she went to for her secondary education. I interpret this as her having finished school that year, like with how Americans reference the year they graduated high school. Stop removing the dates we have references for and adding ones we don't have references for. 1Veertje (talk) 11:42, 16 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

This is incorrect, given her date of birth it iw very clear she finished high school early and 2015 is misleading Tomford1010 (talk) 22:15, 11 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
Please change the title page to 'Emilie Reid' the title 'Emily Reid' is misleading and is not her name Tomford1010 (talk) 22:21, 11 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
We don't know her date of birth. There hasn't been a secondary source that has published her age/year of birth at any point. You claiming she was 16 in 2015 is just some nickname on the internet making an unsourced claim on the internet. Do not do that you are behaving no different than a troll. 1Veertje (talk) 23:21, 11 February 2025 (UTC)Reply

Requested move

[edit]

I propose moving this page from "[Emily Reid]" to "[Emilie Reid]" because [Type Mistake].   Tomford1010 (talk) 19:36, 12 February 2025 (UTC)Reply

Her Juliard profile and her IMDb spell it with a "ie" but by far the most common spelling in the press, as in: all the sources cited that weren't now offline or paywalled it's with a Y. IMDb isn't a reliable source. 1Veertje (talk) 20:37, 12 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
She used to use ‘y’ and now uses ‘ie’ for all acting purposes. Her birth spelling was ‘ie’ after ‘Emilie Kilgore’ her great aunt. See Susan smith Blackburn prize page for details. She is a director. It was set up for her grandmother. 78.142.89.194 (talk) 20:46, 12 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
This she should tell the press the next time she's interviewed. So far all the press on her has spelled her name with a Y. You are a nobody on the internet. Wikipedia isn't going to be sourced on your sayso and you should stop editing this article. 1Veertje (talk) 16:13, 13 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
I am a close family member of Emilie and she has asked me to move this to the 'ie' spelling which is how she has spelled her name for the last several years. Please could someone with editing authority do this. Thank you. 84.45.50.252 (talk) 10:04, 25 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
I think the best evidence of this is that the agency she is signed with and the acting school she recently graduated from in 2024 both spell her name with an ie
The press articles would likely have been for acting she did before Juilliard (almost 5+ years ago) and before she had confirmed the spelling change.

Thank you @1Veertje for your work on the article and attention to detail with the sourcing, which we very much appreciate as a family 84.45.50.252 (talk) 10:12, 25 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
Odd is this ip owned/used by the Reid family? •Cyberwolf•. talk? 19:23, 25 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
All the press she's had and all her credits have been for "Emily Reid", that's what people know her by, so that's what this article is named. 1Veertje (talk) 11:16, 25 February 2025 (UTC)Reply

Emily ReidEmilie Reid – The subject's name is consistently spelled "Emilie" in the article's own infobox and body text, as well as in the cited sources (see refs [1]–[4] in the current article). This spelling is further confirmed by "Emilie Reid – Girl Run | Track profile". Dork. The Bunker Publishing Ltd. Retrieved 4 August 2026., a music publication profile of the artist. The current page title "Emily Reid" does not match this spelling and appears to be an error. Moving to the correct spelling would align the title with the sourced name and avoid confusion with the existing "Emily Reed" disambiguation page. ~2026-42475-43 (talk) 17:07, 4 August 2026 (UTC) Survey *Support as nominator. — ~2026-42475-43 (talk) 17:07, 4 August 2026 (UTC) DiscussionReply
