Unbelievably long; ref-bombed

[edit]

This article attempts to document every nuance of this artist's existence. The expression TL;DR definitely applies. The excess of detail should be pared, as it does not facilitate understanding, other than for the most diehard fan.--Quisqualis (talk) 02:31, 27 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hello @Quisqualis:, I tried paring things down a bit. Could I ask which sources should definitely be removed? I'm looking to eventually publish this article and I know there have been a lot of issues with it, but it was the first article I ever worked on so it is kind of special to me. Thank you!
Please read up on WP:FANCRUFT The section entitled "Politics and Podcast" might qualify. One aspect of what I consider fancruft is the lack of a narrative flow, with factoids strung together in series sans narrative.--Quisqualis (talk) 23:30, 9 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
Okay, I've cut back a lot more. Let me know what you think. I didn't end up reading all the way through WP:FANCRUFT today, but I think I got the gist. I know the article probably doesn't meet standards of being significant enough, but I'm going to keep it as a draft in hopes that the artist releases another album (I intend to continue contributing to wikipedia in other ways). @Quisqualis: TipsyElephant (talk) 00:48, 11 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
I removed some material from the lead paragraph which is not found in the body of the article. The lead is a summary of the article's high points.--Quisqualis (talk) 00:55, 11 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
