More needed on time as UK Information Commissioner

[edit]

I notice the section on Denham's time as the Information Commissioner, apart from the paragraph on Cambridge Analytica, is entirely unsourced. But apparently:

"Denham’s five-year reign at the regulator was not without controversy, with accusations that under her watch the regulator chased headlines, did little to curb so-called nuisance calls, wasted money on travel expenses, failed to act on the long-running adtech data breach, was forced to climbdown on huge GDPR fines and failed to enforce the Freedom of Information Act instead of doing its job as a regulator."

Surely these controversies should be at least mentioned, even if they were refuted by the ICO? Giantflightlessbirds (talk) 18:01, 20 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
