Change the wording of "American-Israeli former hostage" to "American-Israeli Prisoner of War". This is because Edan meets every parameter of a POW specifically that he was captured while on duty. EphemeralMesa (talk) 19:29, 24 September 2025 (UTC)

Description of suggested change:
It is incorrect to list Edan Alexander as a "former Prisoner of War." Under no point was he considered a prisoner of war under the law and was at all times a hostage as Hamas used him as a bargaining chip and had no legal right to commit its acts. The law on this can be found under the Hostage Convention's article 1.[1]
