He was born in British North America to Scottish parents. Also was he an emigrants or an expatriates when he cane to Scotland? Or was his family British expatriates in the British Empire who then returned yo the mother Countey?John Pack Lambert (talk) 22:22, 16 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

Think I added most of these several years ago and happy to remove them, it appears he was a British citizen born in one 19th century colony still closely tied to the UK, and died in a another, so I don't believe in those circumstances that he would really be an expat or an emigrant. Possibly British people in colonial Australia which I have swapped in. Crowsus (talk) 04:15, 17 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
