A bit early
[edit]Hi @Mgifford, thanks for reaching out! I see @Smasongarrison noted not being sure about whether this article meets WP:ORG. It's an interesting subject, but this article seems a bit early to me - some coverage in secondary sources but not a whole lot. I'd suggest covering the topic in a more condensed form as a new section at OpenForum Europe, and redirecting this article there. Could also add a sentence or two on GitHub and Sovereign Tech Agency. Then, if the proposal gets approved (or gets a lot more coverage), it'll be a good time to revert the redirect and rebuild the dedicated article. Dreamyshade (talk) 02:20, 22 October 2025 (UTC)
- I do appreciate this feedback. This is a quickly moving space, and is bigger than just OpenForum Europe. It has been raised in the UN, but definitely more references are required. There should be more soon, and thanks for this feedback. Mgifford (talk) 13:29, 29 October 2025 (UTC)
- The article looks like advocacy for the proposal at this point.
- As a reader, I'm left wondering about its relationship to larger efforts. To support readers of this article, it looks like technological sovereignty needs to reflect recent developments in the EU more clearly and comprehensively. For example, I'm seeing this article from March , this article from June, this one from October - it looks like a push for open source is just one part of a much larger push.
- What are relevant competing proposals? What are oppositions or concerns? This article has a critical perspective that seems useful to integrate. Dreamyshade (talk) 14:50, 29 October 2025 (UTC)
