Agree. May be a term used more commonly in Australia (where I am also from).
I previously inserted the following line (under the Computers & Internet heading) but had it reverted due to lack of references:

• 'Electronic Direct Mail', the sending of Direct Email(s), as part of Email Marketing

In addition to link provided by other contributor above, further web references to support this insert:

EDM → EDM (disambiguation)EDM (disambiguation) – EDM needs to be redirected to electronic dance music per WP:PRIMARYREDIRECT. This is clearly the primary topic, just search on Google - every instance of EDM is about the genre. Flooded with them hundreds 17:55, 1 November 2018 (UTC)

• Inclined to oppose. Electric dipole moment and Electrical discharge machining are both major topics and get a significant proportion of page views apiece. —Xezbeth (talk) 19:32, 1 November 2018 (UTC)
• Edmonton is also frequently abbreviated as EDM in shorthand, especially in sports media. Electronic dance music should certainly be its own item at the top though at the very least. ---- Patar knight - ^chat/_{contributions} 20:39, 1 November 2018 (UTC)
  • After some thought, I'm an oppose on this one for the reasons above.---- Patar knight - ^chat/_{contributions} 07:31, 4 November 2018 (UTC)
• Weak oppose Per Xezbeth, some of the topics under the Science and technology section look like they have long-term significance. Early Day Motions also features in a Google search even though Electronic dance music appears to be most common. Crouch, Swale (talk) 20:46, 1 November 2018 (UTC)
• Oppose While I do associate EDM with the genre, I think there's enough doubt on what would be the primary topic for the term. The current setup makes it easier to spot incorrect incoming links too. Lugnuts ^{Fire Walk with Me} 08:37, 2 November 2018 (UTC)
• Oppose per above. Google Search is a narrow, inaccurate, and often misinterpreted justification for primary topic status. -- Netoholic @ 20:56, 2 November 2018 (UTC)
• Strongly oppose renaming the disambiguation page. We should use clear and complete name for the titles of specific articles.
  提尔巴 (talk) 17:11, 3 November 2018 (UTC).
• Very weak oppose Other abbreviated topics are major enough as to prevent EDM from redirecting to Electronic Dance Music. But I echo what Patar knight says as Electronic Dance music should be at the top of the DAB page, especially in light of Electronic Dance Music's continuing growing popularity. JC7V-talk 03:44, 7 November 2018 (UTC)
• Oppose isn't obvious and nom doesn't address most likely or long-term per WP:PRIMARYREDIRECT. Widefox; talk 16:20, 8 November 2018 (UTC)
