Team Fortress 2 Heavy
[edit]Do we really need to mention that TF2 Heavy is from the Dzhugdzhur Mountains? It's really only mentioned in passing in a single line of a TF2 blog post. (It also features as a setting in one of the official comics, but I don't remember if the location is ever specifically named). The Heavy's specific location of origin doesn't really factor into much in the game, and including it here, in my opinion, feels like adding trivia for its own sake. - Per WP:TRIVIA, a "trivia" item must have some cultural impact acknowledged in reliable secondary sources. This is not the case here. Removing. --Altenmann >talk 19:19, 16 May 2025 (UTC)
- it is mentioned by name in the comics, and I think it might be worth noting because it is one of few appearances of the Dzhugdzhur mountains in pop culture. I might be wrong about this next part (I don't play tf2) but if I remember correctly that isn't specified to be where he is originally from, just where his family is located at the time of the plot. I might be remembering this wrong but I vaguely recall that his family relocated to be isolated after his father's death. Once again I'm far from an expert I just have a brother that really likes TF2, and I'm repeating something I heard my brother mention once. Crabominable (talk) 00:15, 1 December 2025 (UTC)
- We need reliable sources that speak about this iin order to add any info into Wikipedia. --Altenmann >talk 23:41, 6 December 2025 (UTC)
Evenki origin of the name
[edit]The “citation needed” has been around since 2014, apparently, I think that needs to change. I did a little digging and found this, which probably won’t help, but it is about the Evenki language, so it can support the claim, but not outright prove it MisterMan343 (talk) 05:43, 25 December 2025 (UTC)
