How about adding a description of long edge vs short edge for people who don't know which to choose.

Antiquated Term

The article reads that an antiquated term is not commonly used in the workplace. Does that refer to single sided printing or duplexing? Fast duplex printing

Also known as "Fast two-sided printing". The article says "Higher volume printers may effectively have two print engines in a single device, and are able to print both sides of the paper in a single pass." This is called "double-engine duplex", see also HP: What is Duplex Printing and How Does a Printer Duplexer Work and Printer and Copier Specification Terminology Explained. There is another method for fast duplex printing with single-engine duplex: Let's say we want to print 4 pages on 2 sheets. First, we print page 1 on sheet 1. Then, we print page 3 on sheet 2, and at the same time, flip sheet 1 in the duplex path. Then, we print page 2 on sheet 1, and at the same time, flip sheet 2. Then, we print page 4 on sheet 2. So effectively, 2 consecutive sheets are interleaved for printing, doubling the print speed. This results in a continuous output of sheets, with (almost) the same pages-per-minute speed as simplex printing. The downside of this method is the higher mechanical complexity (lower monthly duty cycle), because we still need a page-flip like slow duplex. The upside of this method are cheaper and smaller printers. A rule of thumb: Slow duplex is about 2 times slower than simplex, in terms of pages-per-minute. Known printers with this "interleaved duplex printing" feature: HP LaserJet 400 and 500 series with JetIntelligence (downside: expensive toner with chip), Konica Minolta Bizhub 4700P: Print speed Up to 47 ppm (A4), Autoduplex speed Up to 40 ppm (A4) = 15% slower than simplex (downside: expensive toner).
