this article is fairly technical and the examples deal with specific cases not likely to be encountered by the general public. I was wondering if the Windows 7 communications option (Communications tab in Control Panel\Sound) would qualify as "Ducking". This option automatically reduces all other sounds on the computer (by either 0% (off), 50%, 80%, or 100%) when VoIP activity is detected by Windows. If my interpretation is correct then this feature is a from of ducking and also an excellent example --129.21.143.86 (talk) 05:09, 15 October 2012 (UTC)Reply
