The article needs a lot of attention and verification of sections that may be vandalism. The Tupolev Tu-119 was an experimental and unarmed aircraft and never came near the UK. No record of a nuclear bunker near Drybridge appears to exist in available records. A map ref to the site would be useful. This article has an interesting history of highly inventive additions. Miscellaneous data

(Approx.)Coordinates of the Menhir (visible on google maps): 55.593924,-4.605367

An old book I had somewhere indicated there is a Cold-War era bunker located east of the main town though I'm not sure about the remains though I suspect it was just a "bunker" of some sort created during the cold war as opposed to a true nuclear shelter: and thats assuming I recall that book correctly, and that this bunker exists at all; will look into the subject.

During WWII there was an airforce base located between Drybridge and Dundonald (c.1 mile south of Drybridge)- now converted into an industrial complex - will collect more data and post here. 86.162.95.0 (talk) 14:19, 6 December 2012 (UTC)06/12/12 - Callum RobertsonReply

Cold War era bunker

[edit]

Still unable to confirm presence or absence of this bunker if it ever existed - locals don't know anything solid about it - will have a look at council records mid-week. Callum P. Robertson 86.163.117.29 (talk) 13:10, 10 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
