My name is Jonathan Bluestein. I am a martial arts teacher and author hailing from Israel. I have been practicing and teaching the traditional Chinese martial arts for many years. I have written several books on the traditional Chinese martial arts. I will vouch for the need for the existence of this page. It represents several real and valid martial traditions of Chinese origins which I have personally experienced. One of these traditions is taught by the Red Jade martial arts school network operating in Canada and headed by shifu Neil Andrew Ripski. He is the author of several books on his lineage of Drunken Boxing. I have met with him personally several times over the years and can attest to his authentic skills and knowledge. One issue with this page is that the painting of the "Eight Drunken Immortals" is nothing of the kind. It is a painting of the "Eight Immortals." Though it may be the case that the "Eight Immortals" and the "Eight Drunken Immortals" are similar instantiations of the same cosmic principles and avatars (cosmic principals, if you will), nonetheless, the painting is NOT avowedly a painting of the "Drunken Immortals." Such a painting, if indeed it does exist, should be used to replace this one. 2606:8E80:7003:E200:5DC8:6783:3F58:C7D7 (talk) 01:42, 25 August 2025 (UTC)Reply
