Can we add Fahim Anwar to the listed voice talent or can we only say the voice of Flambae is Lance Cantstopolis (a character of Fahim’s) because that’s who is credited as the voice of Flambae? (Nevermind. It already got added down below. My bad.)

"Dialogue trees"

The game is described as having dialogue trees, but that is not accurate. It is dialogue braids, slightly different response then back to the same answer. It's not a tree in the data sense, more like a knotty stick or a braid. Censorship on Switch/Switch 2 Ports

It seems like there are a lot of controversy for the game about the censorship in the Switch/Switch 2 ports of the game, including many reports of people returning the game for this reason, which are covered with extensive reliable sources. I don't know exactly how to word it, but if somebody has better wording that I do, it should be included in the reception section. Some sources:

We don’t know much factually, only speculation right now; like the game only being one version across all country eshops, and Japan or something specifically got it censored. If that’s true, we don’t know why AdHoc didn’t or wasn’t able to make multiple SKUs of the game and only censor some of them (like Cyberpunk). Regarding "Alleged depiction of sexual assault" section

I wanted to talk about this citation: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dispatch_(video_game)#cite_note-53, because statements in that Kotaku article are simply a misinformation. Specifically:

"You can lean into this act or try to get her to stop, and if you do the latter, she doesn’t immediately stop trying to force the kiss."

and

"and even if you try to lean out of it, she keeps going."

It's easy to disprove these statements just by looking up any playthrough with this choice, e.g. this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aoMF3ycTwAo&t=1960s (at 32:41). Player chooses the option to lean out, the next scene plays where the character softly stops the other character, and the kiss ends immediately.

I'm really new to editing wiki, but if I understand correctly, you can't use youtube videos as a reference. The problem is, this topic was not really discussed by media elsewhere, and the devteam did not issue any statement either (probably because the whole controversy of it all is really overblown). I agree with you. It seems that Kotaku is considered by a lot on Wikipedia (WP:KOTAKU) as a generally unreliable source from 2023 and onward. User @FazeBlack added that section, so maybe they can join this conversation and maybe even discuss a potential replacement source(s) or deletion. Kaii-El (talk) 12:43, 6 April 2026 (UTC)

I didn't know that Kotaku was considered a questionable source in Wikipedia. If you want to, I can remove the citation and just refer to the Game Rant article instead, as these are the only two articles I had found mentioning this topic. I can also remove some of the details for brevity.

Although I considered this situation to be a cause of controversy, it seems that most news outlets did not pick it up when it was an issue in the game. The game's community referred to the Kotaku article for the source of this drama, so I thought it would be the primary source of information. As for the lack of dev response, I'm sure they didn't want any controversy as this predated the 2025 Game Awards and Dispatch was nominated in the awards.

However, I don't think this section should be deleted. Sure, it is a sensitive topic to discuss for a lot of people and the game's fans and by some margin, the devs, but it was an actual issue in the game and I think it's better being documented, at least. The current version is probably the best way to approach it, considering available sources and the discourse around the scene. Thank you, would not have been able to edit it better.

I think many players pressed "Lean Out" immediately after the kissing animation started playing. The game needs some time to register player command and the animation needed to play for a couple of seconds for it, and I think this gave the impression of sexual assault to some players. In the video you cited, the YouTuber waited until the last minute for the animation to finish, then pressed "Lean Out".

Although I do think players got the impression of the scene being sexual assault on Robert from the beginning, as Invisigal suddenly pushes him on the locker before the kiss, which might have caught them off-guard. FazeBlack (talk) 05:14, 8 April 2026 (UTC)
