can someone please cite where they got the following:

It may be appropriate to reflect fashionable parlance in the field, or it may be more encyclopaedic to attempt a pedagogical effort to correct it. Anyway, many researchers in psychiatric disorders are enamoured of a few basic statistical methods they do not really understand and venerate as a kind of magic. With that comes this weird and awkward use of technical terminology such as model and factor. Efforts to mitigate effects of vandalism

There has been a surprising amount of effort put into vandalizing or otherwise unconstructively editing this article, with several users, at least some of which being WP:SOCKS of @Djahidou01, repeatedly adding and/or editing some specific content, mostly relating to presentation. Although there have been efforts to copyedit the article, and losing those would of course be somewhat regrettable, I still think we should perhaps just revert back to an older revision. I suggest, for example, this one. Please note, however, that I have not yet thoroughly gone through the history for a proper check, and another revision could be more suitable. Furthermore, I think we should attempt to properly verify that the content in any revision we revert to is correct. Finally, I would like to hear what others would think about perhaps protecting this article even more using WP:EXTENDEDPROTECTED. As can be seen in the first edits made by @Faktisious (Special:Contributions/Faktisious), they clearly made dummy edits in order to obtain WP:AUTOCONFIRMED status; hence, I would not be all too surprised if this is attempted again. I was thinking changing the introduction sentence to something along the lines of:

Schizophrenia is a mental illness [brief description]; disorganized schizophrenia was an obsolete terminology used to describe a subtype of the condition.

As an emphasis to the reader that "the phrase we're discussing here is just schizophrenia now".海盐沙冰 _{/ aka irisChronomia / Talk} 16:25, 23 February 2026 (UTC)
