"Died" in dates

I have removed the word "Died" from all the dates of episcopal reigns, for several reasons.

Up until the 20th century, that the person concerned is dead is obvious, and need not be noted.
That the person concerned served his term until his death was, down until 1960s, the expected situation. A bishop was "married" to his diocese, until death did them part. "Died" was the default. Other circumstances might be noted: resignation, deposition, transfer. These are not the default, and may need comment and reference.
The style of dates+Died was copied from a copyrighted self-published web page.
