'Sekos' is Greek for ‘courtyard’; we can therefore deduce that the late geometric temple and its successors had never been roofed.
This quote is false. The Greek word "sekos" may describe an enclosure around an olive tree, but in the context of temples it described the central hall of a temple, which was usually roofed and with no windows. The fact that this particular temple in Didyma was probably not roofed is irrelevant of the word's meaning. 5.203.233.236 (talk) 07:55, 22 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
