Wrong Picture?

[edit]

The plane pictured (N103MH) is not representative of the E-Racer design. Although it is officially registered as an E-Racer, it has a modified main landing gear. Normally, the main gears would attach directly to the fuselage, not to the wings.

Unfortunately that is the only photo of an E-Racer on Commons that we have available. If you have a better photo and can donate it to Commons then we can use that. Otherwise I'll just indicate in the caption that this one is a modified design. - Ahunt (talk) 12:15, 16 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
Wow, quick answer. No, I don't have any other picture, sorry; I've never seen one in person. If I do, I'll make certain to take a snapshot. But it's not a major issue. I was looking at designs for pusher-prop aircraft and I was really confused by the picture here. The modified landing gear makes this specific plane look a lot more like an AeroCanard RG (from AeroCad) than a normal E-Racer -- to the untrained eye (to my eye), the first noticeable difference between the designs is the configuration of the landing gear. But I was able to find from the registration number (barely visible on the winglet) that this is indeed an E-Racer, just a modified one. - 69.70.180.78 (talk) 04:19, 17 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
I don't have a photo in my own collection either, so this one is all we have. All plans built aircraft are modified to some extent, just some more than others. I have indicated this in the caption, but that is probably all we can do until someone uploads a new photo! - Ahunt (talk) 13:27, 17 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
