Rocketrod's continued vandalism

"Hello, I'm Rocketrod1960. I wanted to let you know that I undid one or more of your 
recent contributions to Deteriorata because it didn't appear constructive."

I have added a song reference to this page. Rocketrod1960 continues to revert it, claiming it has no business there.
This is self-evidently false:
A -- the section is called "REFERENCES" -- it's about something the piece REFERENCES. I ADDED a REFERENCE. Deteriorata has a REFERENCE to "your dog finally getting enough cheese" -- if you weren't OLD enough, you would not have ANY clue about the advertisements the reference dealt with unless someone -- namely me -- who WAS old enough to remember it -- bothered to add something to wikipedia so someone younger can understand an otherwise particularly obscure line. It makes just as much sense as noting a reference to the USS Maine.
B -- I linked to another Wiki Entry which was what the reference was about.
C -- The article I linked to SPECIFICALLY HAS AN "ORPHAN" complaint in it, because it doesn't have many, if any, links to it. So I was assisting with THAT issue -- Now it has a link from the Deteriorata page, which is a VERY LIKELY reason to bump from one to the other...
In short, the reference is PERTINENT, is ACCURATE, and is USEFUL. Ergo -- it is CONSTRUCTIVE.

Melissa Manchester

The article currently says,

"Melissa Manchester was a background singer on the chorus section of the song."

The opening of the song features a solo female vocalist, and I always assumed that was Manchester. Describing her as only a "background singer on the chorus" makes it sound like this is not the case. Would it be more appropriate to cite her as the lead singer, or am I mistaken about her being the featured vocalist?--NapoliRoma (talk) 03:37, 4 November 2015 (UTC)

What's this line referring to?

"Gracefully surrender the things of youth: birds, clean air, tuna, Taiwan."

birds: DDT, almost eliminated Eagles and other large birds

clean air: SMOG, initial attempts to reduce automotive hydrocarbons increased nitrous oxides

tuna: appeared to be getting fished out, once dirt cheap and plentiful, thought to be an unlimited supply of cheap protein, more expensive today, mercury toxicity

Taiwan: removed from the United Nations in 1972
