Does anyone think this is an article, rather than a straightforward dab that should redirect to Hugh le Despenser? Boleyn3 (talk) 13:26, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
Bold merge
[edit]This name, Despenser is simply an alternative spelling of Despencer, used for the same family, and the two surname pages name list some of the same people. There is no meaningful significance to the spelling different, and having the names from the same family arbitrarily split onto two different pages just produces two incomplete listings.
