These edits are not suitable as you've completed them. This article is about the metabolic process of denitrification, not denitrification in a sewage sludge plant. If you wish to create a separate article as such you've got my support, but this is not an appropriate massive edit. Halogenated (talk) 03:08, 15 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

All main phylogenetic groups???

[edit]

"Denitrifiers are represented in all main phylogenetic groups." (from the lead) Wow. Could this be any more vague? First of all, wouldn't ALL living organisms belong to a "main" phylogentic group? Yes, they do. (Maybe not viruses...) I have no idea what a "main" phylogentic group is, do you? I doubt it. I suppose it's possible the editor meant Archaea, Bacteria, and Eukarya as the "main" groups ...or perhaps just the 9 "main" groups of Bacteria? (Seems unlikely that archaea and fungi don't have any denitrifiers, but seems unlikely that many other eukaryotes do...). This needs fixing. (pun intended).~2025-39446-09 (talk) 09:54, 25 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
