Delta focus city in Orlando (MCO)

Delta is now using MCO as its main focus city with the two most flown delta airports are MCO AND ATL and the most flown flight is MCO - ATL. As well as delta using it to operate both Delta Connection flights, their newest aircraft’s, and now an official SkyTeam global airport. Its Lido (talk) 22:43, 18 September 2025 (UTC)

Please expand and provide context, particularly on your statement that MCO is now DL’s “*main* focus city”.

For instance, do you mean that MCO has the most daily flights per day of any non-hun airport that DL serves, most pax per day, most international flights per day, etc.

By definition, there really isn’t such a thing as a “main” focus city for any airline: an airport is either a hub, focus city, or neither.

Not the second-oldest airline?

The page says Delta is the second-oldest airline in the USA, but a lot of the sources I'm finding name it as the oldest (the company's own website claims it is "the first and only airline to reach 100 years"). I've never edited a wikipedia article before so I didn't want to make a potentially incorrect change, but I wanted to leave a note about it for a more experienced user in case it really is incorrect. DAL is indeed the longest *continually operating* airline in the U.S. The company began by serving as crop dusters, and it later evolved while also acquiring other airlines: There was never a break in service since day 1, and the succession of ownership was duly passed down over time.

I do not have the source for this, but I scrutinized several sources a few years ago upon reading that remark. So, I know that’s it’s 100% accurate that DAL is the longest continually operating airline in the U.S.—even though it wasn’t always scheduled commercial traffic the whole time. Restoration of a very poorly sourced destination table

This edit warring needs to stop. I have no view on the inclusion or exclusion of the destination list in principle - however, the vast majority of it is either unsourced or sourced to unreliable sources (WP:AEROROUTES). Per WP:BURDEN unsourced or poorly sourced content should never be restored without the sourcing problems being resolved - that is my objection to the table being reintroduced, at least until the sourcing issue is rectified. The table was not properly removed in the first place, so you place an unfair high burden on its proper restoration. The latest consensus discussion as archived on top of this discussion place is to have it merged in the main article. Please show me a new discussion since that advocates for its removal!? Thank you. If want to restore the table, then I suggest that you copy it into your sandbox, edit it as appropriate, then copy it into this article. That way we have a properly-sourced table that everyone can agree on. It's much a much more productive approach. 10mmsocket (talk) 11:41, 4 July 2026 (UTC)

I agree.

This is the discussion Axisstroke means: . Not really an "explicit consensus" as mentioned by Axisstroke but a "compromise" where to put the table. The verifiability was not the main point of that discussion. In that AfD @Aviationwikiflight mentioned the poor quality of sources. @TurboSuperA+ was in favor to either merge or delete the table. @Toadspike wrote that this list does not serve any navigational purpose.
