The article confuses/merges chemical and geological processes
[edit]The first sentence defines the term generally but accurately. The article then jumps immediately into the middle of a deep discussion of geological processes.
Heating Epsom salt in your stove to remove the water is creating a decrepitated salt, as is drying "silica gel" or table salt. Googling "decrepitated salt", dried salt used to dry other materials, points here, and "here" isn't very helpful.
A paragraph describing how the chemical process is embedded in geology in the first place would be a good addition.24.17.178.36 (talk) 23:51, 9 October 2013 (UTC)
