Organization's name and article name/title

[edit]

I work on behalf of David C Cook, so as a result of the Wikipedia Conflict of Interest rules, I will not edit the article directly. However, the information on the page is outdated so I will suggest some sources that could improve the article here.

The organization's name is spelled "David C Cook" (instead of "David C. Cook" as it is currently listed in the title of this article).

The key people side bar should be updated to mention Rick Rekedal as President/Acting CEO. https://davidccook.org/newsroom/former-dreamworks-animation-executive-appointed-president-acting-ceo-of-david-c-cook/

For the Acquisitions section: This Publishers Weekly article describes that David C Cook launched Esther Press in April 2022, an imprint focusing on women readers. https://www.publishersweekly.com/pw/by-topic/industry-news/religion/article/89007-david-c-cook-launches-imprint-for-women.html

For the Acquisitions section: This Publishers Weekly article describes how "David C Cook acquired Corvus Comics" in June 2022. https://www.publishersweekly.com/pw/by-topic/industry-news/religion/article/89671-david-c-cook-turns-to-comics-for-expansion.html

The listing for this organization on Charity Navigator is currently 4 out of 4 stars. https://www.charitynavigator.org/ein/366008100 Contributor0323 (talk) 18:41, 1 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

Organization's Key People

[edit]

I work on behalf of David C Cook, so as a result of the Wikipedia Conflict of Interest rules, I will not edit the article directly. However, the information on the page is outdated so I have shared one source that could improve the article in addition to the other updates mentioned in the Talk page here.

The key people side bar should be updated to mention Bill Reeves as David C Cook's CEO. https://www.publishersweekly.com/pw/by-topic/industry-news/religion/article/93884-david-c-cook-names-new-ceo.html Contributor0323 (talk) 13:10, 13 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

The result of the move request was: moved. Makes sense Dr vulpes (Talk) 05:35, 3 February 2025 (UTC)Reply

David C. CookDavid C Cook – See section above for initial request: "The organization’s name is spelled David C Cook (instead of David C. Cook as it is currently listed)." Validated lack of period after the "C": subject website, Amazon, numerous book sites/reviewers. Populated redirect is blocking move, may just be a technical request, but no harm with another eyeball on the period. ☾Loriendrew☽ (ring-ring) 23:33, 26 January 2025 (UTC)Reply

Weak support based on available information. This appears to be the official name (styling). Google has 1.66 M hits for David C Cook and 1.67 M for David C. Cook. I have to imagine there are other David C. Cooks in the world who style their name the usual way and account for some of the hits. Google News returns identical searches for both searches even when using quotes and results are mixed. Only weak support because I accept (and generally agree with) WP's preference for ignoring "creative" branding in the absence of common usage in reliable sources, but when sources are mixed, some deference to official usage is reasonable.--MYCETEAE 🍄‍🟫—talk 23:28, 27 January 2025 (UTC)Reply
