• Under years active, I have changed the - to an – for you. Minor difference, but a grammatical correction.
• Personally I think the image should be in the infobox instead, pointed out exactly where he is (second row, third from right for example), or use a fair use image since a couple of sources seem to have one.

Early life

• Specify where Harput comes from.
• after a two-year stay in Russia Link to the Russian Empire not modern Russia.
• he settled in Massachusetts "emigrated to" would probably be more appropriate.

Career and activism

• Perley had first enrolled in the International College Springfield upon his arrival Feels a bit awkward, I would suggest finding a way to connect this to the next sentences.
• a Bachelor of Arts degree Ommit "degree", Bachelor of Arts is already one
• focusing on immigrant cases Representing immigrants to immigration cases?
• "Star of Ashur" should be italicised not quoted

Legacy

• Perley is remembered as a strong advocate of the Assyrian cause, using many of the opportunities available to him to strengthen and grow while dedicating his time to researching Assyrian history Rather odd sentence - who is he remembered by? what cause? what's the relevance of these opportunities to grow? It sounds a lot like a vague summary of an obituary.
• You don't need to link to the 17th century.

• ? Spot-checked sources 3 (auaf.us), 6 (Donabed & Mako 2011), 13 (Donabed & Mako 2009), 16 (Michael 1979). They seem good. Source 16 (David Barsum Perley) just cites him a few times, not specifically saying that he's "often cited when understanding views of the movement during the 20th century". This would constitute original research.
• Source 10 (A Collection of Writings on Assyrians) and 20 (Tomas Beth-Avdalla stands up for modern Assyrian literature) appear to be dead links. Archive them is possible.

@TheBritinator: Just made all the recommended changes under "Early life", "Career and activism", and "Legacy". For references, I changed the link for Source 20, but Source 10 I can't find elsewhere online. For the Illustration, this preview may work for you, but it has a caption under the image that says it was taken in 1908.

I am trying to figure out which free use image to use in the infobox, I think this one on the front page is good but I don't know if I should use an older image. Surayeproject3 (talk) 22:31, 14 January 2026 (UTC)
