Disputed: Page's entire "Awards" section

This page's "Awards" section claims that the subject of this page (identified by "they/them" pronouns) has been nominated for three Academy Awards, and has won a Tony Award and a Golden Globe Award. However, I can find no evidence that any of those apply them. They appeared in the 2022 film, "They/Them," and it's possible that those awards apply to that particular film's director, John Logan (writer).

I am not an experienced Wikipedia editor and would appreciate any assistance in resolving this accuracy dispute. It seemed so glaring that it needs to be addressed. Doubledex55 (talk) 05:16, 22 April 2024 (UTC)

Pronouns Update Discussion: She/Her

I'd like to propose updating the pronouns used in this article to she/her in accordance with Darwin Del Fabro's current gender identity. While previous sources and earlier phases of her career reflected pronouns like he/him or they/them. Her instagram (Verified account) states it clearly. Per WP:IDENTITY, Wikipedia respects self-identified gender when supported by reliable sources. I've found the above links and would like to know, if its sufficient enough to change the pronouns on the page?

Adding Women’s Journal citation

Hi everyone,

I recently tried to add a citation from Women’s Journal: https://womensjournal.com/eat-drink-skip-the-pray-and-love-a-solo-journey-through-rome-florence-and-paris/

I received feedback that the article may not be appropriate because it only mentions Darwin Del Fabro a couple of times and reads more like a blog than a reliable secondary source. I understand that for BLP articles, sources must comply with WP:RS and provide significant coverage per WP:SIGCOV.

My intention was to include this link either as a minor inline mention (if permissible) or find the previous Women’s Journal piece I had used before, which I believe contained more direct coverage.

Before I proceed, I’d like to get input from other editors:

• Should this specific article be used at all (even as a minor reference), or should it be excluded entirely?
• If minor usage is acceptable, should it be attributed in-text (e.g., “According to Women’s Journal…”)?

Hi JamesAlbert3760. The Women's Journal article linked is branded content written by a contributor, which means it's not reliable or independent. Those are the reasons not to use it. WP:SIGCOV is not the issue here. But why do you want to use it? What assertion would you be using it to support? Citations are not random; is there a specific claim that needs verification, or are you adding content to the article that you would use Women's Journal to verify? I initially considered the Women’s Journal piece because I remembered previously citing something from the same platform that I thought was more relevant to Darwin Del Fabro. In this case, there wasn’t a specific claim I was trying to verify; I mistakenly assumed the article could be used as a general reference.

Based on your explanation, I understand why this piece wouldn’t qualify as a reliable or independent source, so I’ll avoid using it. I’ll also review the article history to locate the earlier Women’s Journal source I had used, which may have had stronger coverage.
