If anyone cares to expand this page, in the book 'The Ballroom - The Melbourne Punk and Post-Punk Scene,' it says that Pollock was addicted to speed and later heroin. It says that while drunk and on speed, heading back from some acting class, he was in a car with about five others and veered off the road into a lake. Everyone got out and swam to safety except one woman, who drowned. This is what the court case was about. Apparently this death had a big impact on him and led to further drug use and perhaps even the suicide. This is all just my lazy re-telling of it.
