What's the copyright status of Daemontools? I notice Debian doesn't include it - only an installer for it. --Gwern (contribs) 19:27 4 December 2006 (GMT)

Basically, you're free to use it but limited as to how you redistribute it.
Detail: From distributors.html: "You are free to download the software from my web server; you then own that copy of the software, and you are free to compile it and run it." See also djb and copyright from the djb way. Gwynevans 16:40, 14 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

it's worth noting that the article has been updated to recognize that DJB's programs are now public domain. Anastrophe 21:21, 1 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

I dispute this. Since there is no discussion here about the tag, I will remove it. --200.17.143.34 (talk) 12:34, 19 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

actually, the tag is recent, so maybe someone is still to talk about it --200.17.143.33 (talk) 12:35, 19 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
